Accredited Course in Group Schema Therapy by the Method's Founders Joan Farrell and Ida Shaw
This accredited course in group schema therapy is a four-day training program designed for psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and schema therapists seeking to master the specifics of conducting therapeutic groups and expand their practical toolkit. The training focuses on leveraging the power of the group, limited reparenting in a group setting, working with schema modes, and experiential techniques.

Who it’s for: Psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, schema therapists, as well as professionals who lead or are preparing to lead therapeutic groups or seek ISST certification.

The program aligns with ISST training standards and provides both theoretical and practical foundations for professionals who currently lead or plan to start group practice, as well as those preparing for ISST certification in group schema therapy.

The course balances theory and hands-on skill development. Participants will learn to create a safe group atmosphere, work with schemas and modes in a group format, apply cognitive, behavioral, and experiential interventions, and navigate complex group dynamics.

The format includes theoretical modules, demonstrations, role-playing exercises, small-group work, and self-practice and self-reflection to integrate group and individual schema therapy.
