EMDR and Trauma Therapy Training Project
This program meets the requirements of the European EMDR Association for obtaining the qualification of "EMDR Psychotherapist (Practice)" and is approved by the EMDR Association Ukraine.
Training begins on December 10, 2026, and concludes in August 2027.
Training instructor: Dr. Karsten Böhm — accredited Senior Trainer of EMDR Europe, board member of EMDRIA Germany (Freiburg), and certified in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychosomatics.
Facilitators and supervisors:
- Oksana Nakoenchna — crisis psychologist, EMDR supervisor.
- Olena Mukha — mindfulness trainer, EMDR supervisor, advanced-level schema therapist.
- Yuliya Mydko — EMDR supervisor.
ABOUT THE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
Participants will gain theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and experience in applying EMDR in clinical practice, including work with simple and complex forms of PTSD and other consequences of psychological trauma.
After completing the foundational course, participants will begin their own EMDR practice with simple traumas and undergo clinical supervision.
EMDR THERAPIST CERTIFICATION
This training project serves as the foundation for developing professional competence in the EMDR method and trauma therapy for simple and complex forms of PTSD. It meets the requirements of the European EMDR Association for the European qualification of "EMDR Psychotherapist."
TRAINING PROGRAM
First semester — foundational level
1. Three-day introductory seminar on general psychotraumatology and stabilization — online, December 10–12, 2026. Instructor: Oksana Nakoenchna.
2. Four-day foundational EMDR-1 seminar with practical skill development — in-person, January 28–31, 2027, approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Instructors: Dr. Karsten Böhm and two facilitators.
3. Small-group supervision.
Second semester — advanced level
1. Two-day seminar on "Dissociative disorders and complex trauma: general principles of work" — online, July 9–10, 2027. Instructor: Oksana Nakoenchna.
2. Four-day advanced-level EMDR-2 seminar — in-person, August 5–8, 2027, approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Instructors: Dr. Karsten Böhm and two facilitators.
3. Online small-group supervision — February–March and August–September.
Candidate requirements:
- Higher education in psychology or medicine (master’s/specialist degree).
- Completed education in a recognized psychotherapeutic method.
- Minimum 100 hours of personal psychotherapy experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a psychotherapist.
