Daria Tokareva

I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dnipropetrovsk Humanitarian University, followed by a master’s degree in Psychology from the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.

Currently, I am pursuing advanced academic training in a PhD program at the Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, specializing in Psychology. My research focuses on developing psychological self-help skills among university faculty members.

Simultaneously, I am completing long-term psychotherapeutic education in catathymic-imaginative psychotherapy (symbol drama)—a psychodynamic approach that enables deep exploration of emotions, internal conflicts, imagery, unconscious processes, and life scripts.

Additionally, I am studying sexology at the Ukrainian Institute of Sexology and continuously enhancing my professional education through specialized programs in psychology, psychotherapy, and crisis support.

I have been practicing since 2019. I began providing consultations in my third year of university and have continued to this day. Additionally, I work at the "Resource Center" foundation and teach at the Department of Psychology at the Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute in Bucha.

I conduct workshops, support groups, and individual sessions both in-person and online.

I regularly participate in supervision to professionally reflect on complex cases and enhance the quality of my work. I also have personal psychotherapy experience, as I believe it is essential for a psychologist not only to have a strong theoretical foundation but also to understand their own reactions, boundaries, and internal processes.
